Ray focuses his practice on defending companies in nationwide and multi-state consumer class actions cases involving allegations of consumer fraud, product defect, false advertising, unfair trade practices and a number of other state and federal consumer protection laws. In addition to class actions, he has represented clients in other complex business and commercial litigation cases including patent litigation and contract disputes. As a veteran litigator, he has successfully represented clients throughout trial and appeal, obtaining dismissal of claims at the pleadings stage and utilizing the discovery process to obtain favorable rulings for his clients. He has tried several cases to verdict throughout the country and successfully managed, led and supervised numerous litigation trial teams. He has been recognized by Chicago Magazine’s Super Lawyer as a “Top Young Attorney” in Illinois, identified by a Fortune 50 client as one of its “Twenty Star Litigators for the Future”, and was inducted into the Trial Lawyer Honorary Society of Litigation Counsel of America.
